Sterling Silver

STERLING SILVER FACT FILE

At our workshop, we love working with silver, and take full advantage of the possibilities this beautiful and timeless metal offer when it comes to design.

Just like gold, silver is a soft metal whose malleability has also seen it treasured for millennia by jewelers and artisans, due to the fact it can be shaped and molded into beautiful, fascinating forms.

Because it also happens to be tender and relatively soft, silver is also mixed with other metals, in order to increase its strength and durability.

Of these blends, 925 silver (or sterling silver) is the most well known, luxurious, and most commonly used in fine jewelry such as those items we offer in this precious metal.

HALLMARKING OUR SILVER JEWELRY

We take an enormous amount of pride in each and every item and piece of jewelry which leaves our workshop, and every one of them is officially stamped and engraved, along with the type of metal it consists of.

This is in accordance with the standards kept across the fine jewelry industry, and demonstrates that our standards of excellence could not be higher.

MAINTAINING THE SHINE OF YOUR SILVER

Sterling silver, despite being a decadent and luxurious metal, is prone to tarnishing as a result of it reacting with chemical molecules which are present in the air.

However, it couldn’t be simpler to renew the luster of your piece. Firstly, ensure that whenever you aren’t wearing your sterling silver ring, it is stored carefully in our free gift box (proudly provided with every purchases), as this will protect the piece, and ensure it doesn’t come into contact with harmful substances.

If you should notice any tarnishing on the surface of your silver, all you need to do is gently rub the surface with a quality silver cleaning solution or oil.

If you have any questions about taking care of your fine silver jewelry, or any of our items, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us, we will be able to guide you further.
